President Aliyev expresses concern over meeting among USA,  EU and Armenia

The Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev, expressed concerns during a meeting with Mevlud Çavuşoğlu, former Turkish Foreign Minister, regarding a recent decision by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) that impacted the voting rights of the Azerbaijani delegation, AzVision.az reports.

President Aliyev emphasized the potential negative consequences of such actions.

President Aliyev also commented on the upcoming tripartite meeting scheduled for today in Brussels involving representatives from the United States, the European Union, and Armenia. He expressed concerns that this meeting could pose a threat to regional stability in the South Caucasus.

President Aliyev acknowledged recent phone calls initiated by high-ranking officials from both the United States and the European Union, aiming to assure Azerbaijan that the meeting is not intended to be adversarial. However, he maintained reservations, suggesting that the meeting could potentially hinder cooperation between Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus region, and might lead to attempts at isolating the country.
